About my stage

Three and four-year-old children are often called preschoolers.

Preschool children want to touch, taste, smell, hear, and test things for themselves. They are eager to learn. They learn by experiencing and by doing. Preschoolers learn from their play. They are busy developing skills, using language, and struggling to gain inner control.

Preschoolers want to establish themselves as separate from their parents. They are more independent than toddlers. They can express their needs since they have greater command of language.

Fears often develop during the preschool years. Common fears include new places and experiences and separation from parents and other important people. You can expect the preschool child to test you over and over again.

He or she might use forbidden words and might act very silly. Preschoolers may still have trouble getting along with other children and sharing may still be difficult. Because of their developing imaginations and rich fantasy lives, they may have trouble telling fantasy from reality. They may also talk about imaginary friends. Preschoolers need clear and simple rules so that they know the boundaries of acceptable behavior.

Just one of those days in Iloilo when super cars get out of there shelter for a showdown. One of Onin's favorite is the Subaru Impreza. Onin's familiarity with cars began when he started watching Fifth Gear. His favorite driver is Tiff Needell. One of the best driver ever.

Onin's love for cars never fades away. The only 3 year old to watch the Isuzu off road drive test and just look at his smile. If only he's allowed to join the driver, he will. But sorry, no kids allowed inside the car. hehe

The Frades ancestral home. This is where Lola Thelma grew up. During its golden years, this place was filled with grandchildren running and climbing in every corner of the house. Apoy Titong will usually sit down in the balcony with cigarettes in both hands. Apoy Nena is a typical housewife and can seen in the kitchen cooking something for the children. This house was filled with memories. Built after the war, the house still stood in the center of the town. It is no longer as grandeur as it was way back when we were still young, but pictures of grandchildren playing around still hangs inside the house.

There has been alot of things that happened for the past 8 months. But one of the most important event is my son's first day of school. As a mom, I was filled with excitement and joy. Seeing him with his uniform made me thought of the days when I first carried him. It's like yesterday and now he's going to school. As early as summer, I have already started buying school supplies. From notebooks, papers, pencils and bags. Well, it was also a wise decision too since the prices are still very low and some are even discounted.
The first school day was indeed a stressful day. As expected, it was a tag of war. It was funny because about 28 years ago, I also played the same game with my mom. Now I know how my mom felt that time. Being a mom is indeed the most exciting thing that ever happened. I am so proud of you my son!!
